I will always remember this moment wherein I was a lot younger and I met this businessperson who was apparently successful in his field.

He told me the most important thing that he possessed to achieve success was not his “B.A.” (Bachelor of Arts degree) or his “B.S.” (Bachelor of Science degree). What was crucially  important, according to him was his “B.S.S.”.

“What is BSS?”, I  curiously asked.

The reply: “Bilib Sa Sarili.” (Belief in yourself).

What an excellent and insightful realization.

I do not remember who the man was anymore, but I will always remember the lesson.
