When we react based on the fear of loss or the fear of hurt, we tend to make judgement calls that are abrupt and ill-advised. These kinds of decisions are those that we look back on and regret.
On the other hand, when we act based on strength of character, we make more constructive decisions that have long term benefits. These are decisions that may have been hard to do at that time, but make complete sense now.
As persons srtiving for excellence, we must constantly develop the capacity to operate out of strength and not out of fear.
